Ok so we got a kitty and the kids named it Midnight, cuz it's blackish with a couple white spots on his chest (stars). He's too cute for words. Look . . .
Except, ummm, we've shut him in the hall so he'll get used to using his litter box like he's supposed to, etc. and . . . he's mewing to beat the band. DAD GUM. He is a loud little thing. How can such a little piece of living fur make so much noise? He also has some big ol' claws. But he is really really cute. Blurry picture, but ain't he cute??? In other news, we weren't close to the tornados this weekend, for which we are very thankful. My heart goes out to those who were not so lucky. The devestation just amazes me, every time something like this happens. My daughter just said tonight that it was impossible to imagine, one moment you are safe and warm in your house and the next, it's all gone. And it's true that things can be replaced, but still . . . if we lost all our things, meaning things that have sentimental value . . .photos, baby books, etc. and houses that you've transformed into homes filled with love . . . it would be devastating. I'm so sad for them all and am hoping to go help with the cleanup and support in other ways as well. Hug your loved ones extra tight tonight. Peace.
